The Old Days
Several weeks back, a friend and I were having coffee. We were discussing various people we had not seen for a while. I mentioned one guy’s name and she told me she had seen on his facebook profile that he had been ill because of something he ate. She asked if I had heard from a lady we both know, and I told her I had seen on her blog that she had just broken up with her boyfriend. This went on for four or five folks, all of whom we knew the latest on, without ever having actually seen them for weeks.
“Remember the old days?” my friend asked. “Back when you actually had to talk to someone to find out how they were doing”.
