I love blogging. Or more accurately, I love writing. Blogging is the perfect sort of writing for a guy like me, a guy with virtually zero attention span. And for a long time, I could blog with impunity - saying whatever I wanted to say and nobody cared at all. That was, however, long ago. Now the internet is real time, and someone is always watching.
So here is what you should know.
I like to blog about serious stuff. I like link blogging too, but that is seldom serious. When you blog about serious stuff, you will make some folks mad. Not much I can do about that - John Wesley once said something along the lines that if everyone told him what a good job he did, he feared that either they had not understood what he had said, or that he had not said what he should have. So I am going to talk about serious stuff here. No videos of cute cats or silly memes or whatever. In talking about serious stuff, I will probably piss some folks off. I will just have to deal with that, although that is never my intention.
I am just a guy. I am not a seminary student or graduate. I am just a guy, trying to follow the Jesus I see in the Gospels. So why should you listen to me? Beats me. In fact, I think you ought to take whatever I say with a grain of salt. I am not blindly believing you, so I have no idea why you would start blindly believing me. Do your own research, ask your own questions. You are responsible for your own salvation.
When I speak, I speak only for me, and remember, I am just a guy. Keep in mind that I am not speaking for Love Wins Ministries or for any of our staff or volunteers. If you have a problem with something I said here, it has nothing to do with that organization.
One last thing. I process what is in my head by getting it out of my head. I am your classic ENFP. What this means for you is that sometimes I write things that I may just be working through. In other words, just because I said it does not mean I have decided I am through thinking about it. Like you, my views shift over time and writing them down and discussing them helps me bring them into sharper focus.
